This is how we do business
These terms of business explains how we work and what we require of our clients. We find that it is helpful to be as clear as possible at the outset to clarify expectation and avoid any misunderstanding.
When starting a project we require an initial payment up front which will be a percentage of the total project estimate value. This initial percentage will be defined in your project estimate before we start work. Paying this initial invoice is your commitment to the project, which is a non-refundable deposit to cover our initial time and project setup.
We will clarify the stage payments for your project in your estimate.
For first time clients we will require the final payment before we release any artwork files. Once the first project is complete, we will establish 30 days payment terms for final payment on all future projects.
Please note that the prices supplied in our proposal for design time are estimates and not quotes. The estimate is based on all the information provided by the client. If the brief changes or the scope widens, we will supply you with an updated estimate based on the new information that you have provided.
When sending us amends it is a better use of our time and your budget if you gather them into one simple email rather than sending multiple emails over a period of time. This reduces how many times we have to open, amend and export your files which works out quicker and cheaper for you.
Your estimate will say how many sets of amends are included in that price. Any further amends will be charged at our approved hourly rate. We will always inform you before incurring any extra expense. This ensures that we are paid for the time we spend and also encourages a more efficient use of time on both sides of the relationship.
We love showing the world what we do for our clients. It helps us attract new work and helps lift the profile of our clients. We would love to show your work on our portfolio and social media channels. If for any reason you would not like us to do this then please let us know before we start the project.
Once you have paid for your project in full a copy of the artwork files become yours. We will retain the editable design files for any future projects and reprints that you may need. If you need a copy of the editable design files then we can arrange transfer of these but will charge our time for doing so at the approved hourly rate.
